Case

In 2023, Domiundo Operadora completed 10 years of stories. Throughout the year, several celebration materials were produced, all aimed at the company's flagship for the year: the celebration tour “Christmas Markets: Cruise on the Rhine River & André Rieu Concert”.

Among all the material produced, I find it worth highlighting the Traveler's Magazine, entirely produced in-house. Delivered to the passenger at the airport, just before the trip starts, serving as a guide — with curiosities and information about all the places visited.

2

Challenges

The biggest challenge of this material was the logistics. The decision to produce a printed material (in contrast to the digital material we used to send on each trip) came at the last minute, a few months before the tour. Being the sole designer of the company, I had to balance the routine demands (which continued even with the extraordinary production) and the creation of the magazine.

This dynamic proved to be a tremendous opportunity to exercise not only the layout side, which I enjoy so much, but also production and logistics, reconciling the visual creation of the magazine — based on similar materials — with the processes of review and file closure.

Case

The year 2024 marked a series of structural changes in the company, including a revamp of the visual identity and internal processes. It was necessary to develop support material, now suited to this new aesthetic, to instruct collaborators and the team itself on this new operation.

2

Challenges

When it comes to educational material, basically all the information present was essential and therefore could not be removed. For the designer, this resulted in an interesting challenge of transforming and laying out the information to 1) enhance its importance and 2) keep the entire set coherent and complete, within the physical limitations of the print.

I opted for the A3 format, used in other materials from the company, in order to work with its folds. This creates a visual hierarchy based on the reading order, and also strengthens the separation of content within each category.
